Spotted in Stores: Perfect Layer Tee and New Energy Bra Colors and Try On Reports

Double Diamond Burnout Material in the Yogi Racer Tank

The Perfect Layer tee is back in the Double Diamond Burnout material. I spotted these in my store today. I have a Perfect Layer tee from the past and really like it.

Also spotted were new Fresh Teal and Baroque Blue Energy bras. I was very tempted to buy the Baroque one.

I tried on the new Core Kicker tank and liked it. I thought the luxtreme was on the thinner side (i.e., more revealing) and, like a lot of luxtreme tanks, runs kind of snug so I sized up from my Power Y size in this. I thought the support was moderate and the bust roomy enough for more endowed women.

I got my Baroque Blue Race With Grace Half zip yesterday and really like it. I'm not sure I need it but it is super nice. The fit is snug TTS but the lines are so flattering, the color gorgeous, and I like that it has thumbholes and cuffins. I also tried on the Fresh Teal hyperstripe one, which I've really liked in photos, but the pattern is kind of dizzying in real life.

I also tried on the Chai Time. I liked it and found it TTS. It was super soft but a bit sheer in the light color.

I ended up buying myself a Silver Spoon Post Practice Cardi yesterday, my first knit piece from lululemon. I ended up sizing down one size so it wasn't overly voluminous. It has a very substantial weight to it, unlike lululemon knit products of the past, and it seems perfect for my climate. I can tell this is a sweater I'll get a lot of use out of. It requires hand washing.

See the Chai Time is up on the Canadian side now...I don't remember seeing it from the upload earlier this week.

I'm not into these items. Looking forward to my warehouse shipment though.

luluaddict...have you tried on previous chai time pullovers? I wondering about the thickness of the fabric and if it's comparable to previous years.

LuluAddict said...

@ stern- I can't recall trying on a Chai Time before. If I did, I've forgotten what it felt like, so I can't compare.

I got a chai time 2 in black - it is crazy warm! I am between 6-8 and took a 6 in this, but I prefer snugger sleeves (both for aesthetics and for layering under coats). I also recently ordered the hustle jacket as I need a rain jacket for marathon training - it went to wmtm a couple of days later so I ordered another off wmtm and returned the one I paid full price for today. It's super cute, and very roomy in the core - you can see where it sort of poofs out in the abdomen from the online pics, but I still think its cute and it's really soft... When I returned the one in store i bought full price, all the girls were complimenting it (the eds hadn't seen it since it's an online only item) and I think one of them was going to buy it. Also while returning, I succumbed to curiosity and tried the moto jacket on sale. Oops - it's insanely soft and so much more flattering in real life than in the model pics. It's like a totally different jacket. It's incredibly soft, comfy, and flattering, and I couldn't resist and bought both colors. Similar in function to my blissed out wrap and gratitude wrap but much much warmer. I don't need any more jackets for about 10 years...

Then new Chai times are looser-knit than the older ones.

So, my warehouse package arrived at the fedex location (Burnaby BC) on Thursday at 11:30am but has not shown history for 'departed' or 'in transit' since that time. Apparently I am supposed to receive my package (Toronto ON) this Tuesday according to the Estimated Delivery... on ground shipping.... righhtt..

OT- luluaddict, how excited are you about the new mission viejo store opening soon?!! I can't wait as this is now the closest location for me. Do you happen to know when opening day is?!!

@ anon 9:52 pm - What?!? News to me but that's cool. MV is about 30 miles away so kind of far. I'd love if they put one in North OC, like in the Brea Mall.

What size moto did you get? I'm between a 6 and 8 so I'm not sure which size to order. I want it long and with sleeves that aren't too tight.

OT question please:

how quickly has sea wheeze registration sold out in the past years? I'm going to be traveling this coming Thursday when registration opens and I'm wondering if I need to find time to register between airports and planes, or if I can wait a day.

thanks!

We have two new No Limits tanks in the Atlanta Lenox store- Petal Pop bra for one and Fresh Teal Stripe bra underneath Fresh Teal tank for the other! Excited to see those on here soon.

Chai time snag easily - I had to pick through to find the least snag free. I found the sleeves to be snug & I'm slim not muscular. Also the Zing pink WUC are sheer & much more fluorescent in reality. They looked great in the photos but when I tried them on you can see the tag through the fabric in a bend position & even with a grey or white top they still are highlighter pink. I passed on those.

@10:40pm you're so right about burnout fabric it just pills n pills forever even if you're ultra careful! Mark down guarantee never pay full price for this kind of quality.

I sized down to a 2. I'm usually a 4 in tops (except ones with a built in bra, I'm a 6. I'm only 5' with short arms though, 103 lbs. and a 32D. The 2 is roomy enough for me that I can wear thick layers underneath--have worn a Scuba under there.

@anon 5:04 -- the first year, SeaWheeze took a few months to sell out, and I remember thinking they might have overstated when they said, "This puppy's going to sell out" on the website. Last year it was faster -- maybe within a month? This year, I actually feel "nervous" about sign-up for the first time, so even tho I'm not sure it's quite reached sell out in one day status, I would try to sign up that first day if you can swing it. It's hard to tell what's lulu hype (Gratitude Wrap) and what's legitimate frenzy (parallel WUCs) -- ;)

I got the 6, and can wear a thin sweater under it but nothing chunky. I have about average arms for my build (5'7", 150lbs). It just barely covers my butt. I think that depending on your body type you could go with either one! You'll love it!! Hope that helps..!

@ 5:04 AM, year 1 it did not sell out quickly at all. Year 2 it was pretty quick but I don't believe it was all sold out on the first day.

I like the double diamond burnout material but agree, it pills easily. Definitely not worth full price and they'll go to markdown (and not even worth it then, imo).

I'm curious about the Moto jacket. I bought on sale a size 4 because people in the reviews said they bought their TTS 6 and they can put a scuba underneath??? And to size down if you wanted it more fitted. Well, do NOT size down. My daughter now has a new jacket :(

Anonymous said...

I was told by a SeaWheeze rep they sold out in 28days last year.

Anonymous said...

So weird that they came out with beautiful new energy bra colors, but there are NO ENERGY BRAS on the US website :( What happened to them???

Anonymous said...

I tried on the post practice cardi today and passed on it. It's cute. but I'm not in need of an oversized cotton sweater right now.

I got the pop plaid speeds. I wish they had a crb in baroque blue to match on top! Nothing else in the store was calling to me.

@ anon 4:44 pm - I bet the new ones will be uploaded to the website on the next upload.

Anonymous said...

Anon 2:35, I know because tried on a Moto jacket and they is no possible way I could put a scuba under there in my tts or size up.

Anonimouse said...

I'm betting the Energy Bras have been taken off line because of the issues with sizing.

The last one I bought feels like a vice around my ribs if I have to wear it for more than a couple of hours. It was a size 6, same as all of my others that are apparently size 6 as well and are more than comfortable to wear for a whole day. There was a lot of feedback in recent months about that in the reviews.

I was so bummed I missed out on the chai time earlier this year & was planning on getting one for sure this time. I went to the store & tried on my tts & 1 sz up. Oh my the arms are so tight. I crossfit so my arms are a little muscular but the forearms were so incredibly tight I could hardly get it on & off, sad I had to leave it in the store

@ anon 4:44 I first noticed the surge energy bra w stripes disappeared overnite from WMTM…It was still in all sizes but I was watching it for further markdown…and there were plenty of energy bras on US side regular rice..I was debating about betting another one or two….

Anonymous said...

PLEASE NO MORE STRIPES!!!!

Anonimouse said...

Lets try this again, I did post this morning, but I think the capture ate my reply.

I think the energy bras have disappeared because of the sizing issues. I bought one just before Christmas and it was a size smaller than it should have been, it's like wearing a vice round your ribs if you have to wear it for more than an hour, it was considerably smaller than all of my previous energy bras and quite a number of other people had the same issues too reading the feedback.

Please God let that be what their doing!

There were a bunch of energy bras on MD at my store this weekend

I too want to know where the fabulous Energy Bra went. I contacted customer service and the girl acted SO SUPRISED when I asked why they were no longer on the website. She couldn't give me an answer! We customers know more than LLL employees. They are truly clueless.

justcurious said...

LLA, why are you stamping all of the photos now? Since they come from the mailing lists of the individual stores, you don't have rights for them...

Just a little early morning rant- I was going to order the Post Practice Cardi from last week's upload, but decided to wait for some reviews. After reading the feedback and seeing that LLA herself just got one, I decided to go online to order this morning.
The price of the cardi is showing $130 on the website instead of the $120 price that it was uploaded at. If you scroll through the comment section of the cardi, you can see people commenting on the garment and the steep price point at $120. I relayed all of this to the online ED and she insisted that the price is $130 even though it is clear from several customers that it was $120! I just couldn't believe that she was not budging a bit on this and did not end up getting the cardi.

@7:55
I sure hope so! I had the same sizing issues.

I have the chai time pullover from earlier in the fall. I like it, but I had to size up to an 8 in it because of the arms, and I have fairly slender arms. It also now has a big snag under one of the arms that looks more like a hole along the seam. It hasn't held up too well considering it hasn't been washed or worn very much.

@ justcurious - it's not for me to grab credit for other's photos, it's a blog scraping (i.e., copying) preventative. It's much easier for people to copy the photos off my blog into their own blog then for them to go find them on their own. There are something like ~250-ish stores now. It takes a while to comb through the photos and post them. I prefer not to do other's people's work for them.

Anonymous said...

LLA it's your blog you can do whatever you want! You work so hard you deserve some credit! :)

@luluaddict people do the same thing on ebay. After I take the time to set up lighting, mannequin and edit my pictures, they use them in their own auction. People are not actually viewing the item they are purchasing. Sometimes ebay does nothing about it.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 3:52 pm - yes, and they use the photos from the blog, since they show up in google, in eBay auctions all the time, too. I hate lazy eBay sellers. It takes a lot of time to take good photos for ebay listings.

@luluaddict. From anon 3:52 Marlee. So true!!!
